For history lovers, the medieval Brest castle is open to you and houses the Musée National de la Marine (the naval museum). In going there, you will have the opportunity to explore the city’s maritime past. The keep and the ramparts enable you to admire the architecture of the castle, which was destroyed by the Second World War and then rebuilt over the years.

With its two marinas, Brest is considered as the leading yachting resort in Brittany. A little further on, the Brest harbour is a genuine nautical stadium of 180 km², and the perfect place for many nautical activities.
